Windpark Niederlehme

Quiet and powerful

The Niederlehme wind farm is located directly on the Berliner Ring, northeast of the town of Königs Wusterhausen in Brandenburg, about 40 kilometres south of Berlin. Its two Vestas V90 wind turbines, each with an output of 2.0 MW, were commissioned at the end of 2012. Vestas has already produced more than 3,000 units of this model, which is known for its high availability. Another special feature: the V90-1.8/2.0 MW has various low-noise operating modes. This means that the noise protection regulations prevailing at the respective site can be complied with.

The general contractor is ABO Wind AG from Wiesbaden. The turbines produce around 6.8 million kWh per year, thus saving around 4,500 tonnes of CO2 per year and supplying around 2,300 households with clean electricity.
