This position is suitable for applicants who are early in their careers, with up to 5 years of experience as well as for experienced applicants. This position will work closely with the Development Manager to support the company’s growth.
An individual that can support the Development Manager with the following tasks:
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the development of project budgets and project plans. Support Drafting and Filing of project permits to relevant government agencies.
- Coordination and management of project documents, proposals, contracts, and agreements.
- Support the research and preparation of stakeholder responses and coordinate landowner communication.
- Review and evaluate requests for proposals (RFPs) across the country and work with the team to respond with proposals, pricing, term sheets, issues lists, and definitive documents.
- Research and support negotiations with Landowners to secure land for Renewable Energy projects.
- Provide market intelligence feedback to reconcept’s development team.
- Support initiatives to inform reconcept’s development and acquisition strategy in key markets across Canada.
- Work cooperatively with other groups within the business, both in Canada and Germany as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in either engineering, business or environmental sciences.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in related project development.
- Knowledge of effective record keeping and document management.
- Previous experience with managing databases, writing reports.
- Previous experience interfacing with customers, identifying leads, and tracking progress.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products especially Excel.
- Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated project management capabilities (budgeting, scheduling, reporting).
- Experience in stakeholder engagement (regulators, utilities, landowners, First Nations).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively support a team.
- Strong organizational, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated work-ethic and willingness to learn.
- Strong interest in renewable energy technologies and developments in the industry.
